Melissa Janette Kopple, M.S., L.Ac.
has an acupuncture practice in Somers, N.Y., in which she combines a mind/body approach, using her knowledge of Yoga and other Healing Arts with the Oriental system of Acupuncture to facilitate the healing process for her patients. She practices Japanese Acupuncture and has been fortunate enough to study with Kiiko Matsumoto and Master Kawai (both experts in the field of Japanese Acupuncture techniques).

These techniques allow acupuncturists to use not only needles, but Diode Rings (these work with the body to produce a micro-current which promotes healing), and Moxa Artemesius Vulgaris (a plant herb that warms the acupuncture needles and heightens the therapeutic response.) Japanese acupuncturists are trained to insert the needle at very shallow depth and therefore the treatments are virtually painless.
